IAAPS returns to Low Carbon Vehicle Show

07 September 2021

IAAPS is gearing up for its participation at this year’s edition of the Low Carbon Vehicle show (LCV), held 22nd and 23rd of September at Millbrook Proving Ground in Milton Keynes. Two years after the last in-person edition of the LCV, which was held digitally in 2020 due to Covid-19 restrictions, the IAAPS team is looking forward to the first physical event on schedule, joining global industry leaders, innovators, collaborators and other key automotive stakeholders to discuss the latest developments in zero emission vehicle technologies.

This time, IAAPS will occupy Stand C3-110, where members of the team will be on-hand to showcase IAAPS’ in-house research expertise and technical capabilities across a vast range of competencies and specialisms, including:

  • Electrified technologies
  • Future fuels and energy conversion
  • Control, calibration and optimisation
  • Simulation and modelling
  • Real world driving and driver behaviour
  • Energy storage and battery management
  • Propulsion systems efficiency

In collaboration with testing equipment leader AVL, visitors will be able to experience a VR tour of the new test facilities and get a feel for the scale and ambition of the purpose-built IAAPS centre which is set to open at the Bristol & Bath Science Park.

Furthermore, members of the CDT-AAPS team will also be in attendance to raise awareness of the Centre for Doctoral Training in Advanced Automotive Propulsion Systems and to underscore the key role our talented students play in IAAPS’ work and the transition to a zero emissions future in the automotive and transport sector.

“We are looking forward to connecting with existing and prospective industry partners at the first physical event in two years, building on and expanding our strong network of collaborators. The automotive landscape is evolving fast, and IAAPS is at the forefront of the research and expertise that is required to address the key challenges the sector is facing. There are many exciting opportunities ahead, and we can’t wait to discuss these with other like-minded innovators at the show,” says Gavin Edwards, Operations & IT Director, IAAPS.

The LCV is the UK’s leading low carbon vehicle event featuring four key areas, a technology exhibition, extensive seminar programme, networking opportunities and ride & drive of the latest research and development and commercially available vehicles.
