IAAPS and McLaren partner on Speed-V project
IAAPS is collaborating with McLaren on research into several technology areas for McLaren’s next generation engine and hybrid powertrain.
The IAAPS Team at the University of Bath was awarded an APC grant to develop a high specific power, modular combustion system and associated engine technologies for application in future vehicle programmes. The APC supports the development of a completely new generation of technically advanced engines offering significantly improved CO2 figures for high performance vehicles. IAAPS’ main responsibility in this project is to advance capabilities in ICE system efficiency R&D.
Outcomes and Customer Benefits
Technology resulting from this project will be implemented in a new generation of advanced engines for high-performance vehicles. This project results in significant CO2 reduction in high-performance cars.
